It's Friday and we're back from a fun family adventure.
A little funny (for some) and a lot of interesting timing, but my daughter's teacher just happened to be doing a unit on the Titanic the weeks leading up to our cruise. So, let's just say we did confirm there were 18 lifeboats which hold 370 people each and that was sufficient to support all the people on board in case of an emergency.
We enjoyed activities onboard, like the pool, trivia games, shows, and mini-golf, and at in ports, where we went zip lining, snorkelling and cliff jumping (well, that was just Brent, it was into a sulphur pool and a little smelly for me).
This was our first family vacation since moving back from Africa, and our youngest's illness and recovery from bone marrow transplant. I think I'd forgotten how refreshing and re-setting time away can be. And so I bless the Lord for the gift of this time and the memories made.
