Happy Friday!!

We are officially entering the last week of summer holidays, and it's been quite the time. Back to school is happening after some long months at home (unless you're homeschooling of course). It's a strange season, lessons I wouldn't have anticipated teaching my kids, preparing for the unknown school year, holding it with flexibility - knowing that it can quickly change, as it did last year.

Let's remember in these changing times, as we add masks to our school shopping lists, that our feet are fitted with the Gospel of peace. There are no circumstances in life that can take our peace from us. We are at peace with God, He has wrought it for us through Jesus.

Here's this week's articles, enjoy!

"Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed" (Rom. 13:11). What does it mean for us? To weigh how we live, with complacency or with urgency.

"The problem with journeys such as this is that we don’t particularly care for the ones we don’t choose" Some encouragement for us again, in the midst of these uncertain times.

"My hope is that, in praying these prayers, they will sense in palpable and deeply personal ways the care-filled love of the Good Shepherd who knows them by name."

An article encouraging us to spend and be spent, pouring out not only wealth but our time, investing in those around us.

As Daniel ended up in new circumstances, he chose to persevere in prayer, resolving to follow God, waiting for the answers to his prayers.

"when it comes to the Christ life, there is a self to lose and a self to find." I enjoy personality tests for the insights I gain into who I am, and the enneagram particularly pays attention to the "shadow" side of our personalities. Here's a little background.

The podcast hosted by Hunter Beless, is an interview with Glenna Marshall on faithfulness. I found this episode really encouraging and challenging me toward deeper obedience.
