Happy Friday!
This morning I'm sitting in the Toronto airport (happy sigh). I've missed traveling.
In June I was interviewed and invited to join the Canadian board for Africa Inland Mission, which is the organization we served under while we were church planting in Tanzania.
I'm really excited to be able to participate more actively with our organization again. There's so many people we pray for and connect with, it just seems right to be able to support them and God's kingdom work in the world.
This weekend we're having board meetings. I don't always do sitting well, and finance reports are a foreign language to me, so I invite you to pray :) But, I'm honestly so thrilled to meet everyone and see what God has in store through this opportunity.
What opportunities has the Lord been placing before You this week?

From Sept 25 - Oct 5 there's an opportunity to join in prayer together with the global Church. Here's the 10 day prayer guide based on Ephesians, with the theme "Sit, Walk, Stand" as we pray in unity. There's also a prayer focus for unreached people groups.
I like lists. They give me ideas and opportunities to find something new. If you're interested in songs about heaven, here's a playlist for you to check out, put together by Brett McCracken!
Revival, "is descriptive of those extraordinary times when the Lord is pleased to pour out a greater abundance of saving grace, resulting in a greater zeal for Kingdom priorities and a vital spirituality characterizing the people of God. It is a time of unique energy and vigor regarding gospel labors, and of unique blessing from the Lord in those pursuits."
From another writer friend reviewing the book, "Mama Bear Apologetics." I haven't read it yet, but it's on my list now! Read her great review.
It’s not that we look at our morning devotions as a good luck charm that wards off any bad voodoo that might come our way. Instead, it’s that we’ve come to experience that time in the Word does exactly what it says it will do, it guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Phil 4:6-7)."
Christiana Fox writes, "Have you ever said, “I just want to know God’s will?”
It’s a question many believers ask in the face of a dilemma or a difficult decision. We may stand at a crossroads, looking at two different paths before us, and don’t know which way to go. We fear the unknown and want God to make it clear which path is better than the other. We just want to know what to do."
Shaken to Bear Fruit: What Has Come From Losing A Son
An article by Tim Challies reflecting on suffering. “God does not mean to harm us when he shakes us, but simply to release the fruit.”
