By Canoe and Dog Train: The Adventures of Sharing the Gospel with Canadian Indians by Edgerton Ryerson Young

This was a really fun read! I really enjoyed his stories of travelling up into Manitoba (my home province) and how he learned to survive in the winter conditions with the help of his friends. It reminded me a lot of our time in Africa, and how much our local friends taught us about life in a new place. Also, we've had so many snow storms this year that I keep thinking about what it would be like to travel through it by dog sled. This was so good! Find the ebook FREE on Amazon! 5 stars!!

*The Letter From Briarton Park by Sarah Ladd

A secret revealed from her guardian just before she passes away leaves Cassandra in shock and left somewhat destitute. She begins a journey to discover where she came from and finds trust isn't always what it seems.

*Malicious Intent by Lynn Blackburn

Ivy Collins is using her life to help amputees with better prosthetics, but she has something others want and are willing to take lives for. Another suspenseful story from Lynn Blackburn! 4 stars!

*The Loveliest Place: The Beauty and Glory of the Church by Dustin Benge

In these divisive times, this book is so needed!! It's the first book that brought tears to my eyes this year as I grieved what's been happening with church community and the beauty God intended. Read my full review here. 5 stars!

*Cultural Counterfeits: Confronting 5 Empty Promises of Our Age and How We Are Made For So Much more by Jen Oshman

It's time to talk about idolatry, particularly for us as women in a secular culture. There's great discussion questions which are great for a small group setting. Read more of my review here. 5 stars!

Mere Christianity by CS Lewis

I've not read this one before, it was different than I expected (obviously not fiction like the Narnia series). I did enjoy it and his writing on different topics in the Christian life.

*The Royal Priesthood and the Glory of God by David Schrock

The theme of the priesthood is a thread from beginning to end of scripture, I found often times I wondered at it's significance (hence the reason I picked this book up for review). This book traces the theme from Genesis to Revelation to help us understand how the priesthood is relevant to our understanding of the gospel. My review is HERE. 5 stars!

*The Mission of the Triune God: A Theology of Acts by Patrick Schreiner

So often we think of the book of Acts as a book on the Holy Spirit. In this book, the author outlines for us how the Father, Son and Spirit work together to accomplish his mission. Find my full review HERE. 5 stars!

Acts by RC Sproul

This is the first commentary I've read by RC Sproul. I enjoy his writing and how he teaches through the text in a personable way. I'll definitely be interested to read more of this series in the future!
